How My Mindful Art Weekends Began Through Community Art
During the winter months, my friend and I hosted another series of successful community art workshops through Island Hearts For Art in the Community. What began as a way to bring people together creatively during the quieter season quickly became something much more meaningful. We saw how art encouraged people to relax, connect, and rediscover a sense of playfulness and calm through the simple act of creating.
From those workshops, one idea quietly began to grow – creating a more immersive experience where visitors could slow down and experience the landscape of Mull through mindful creativity. That idea became my Mindful Art Weekends – a two-day artistic escape combining en plein air painting and expressive resin art inspired by the island’s colours, textures, and atmosphere.
These weekends are designed for anyone seeking creativity, wellbeing, and connection with nature, whether you are an experienced artist or simply curious to try something new. Spending time painting outdoors and experimenting freely with resin allows space to reconnect with yourself, your senses, and the joy of making art without pressure.
I now have several dates available this year and next year, and bookings can be made directly through my website. I look forward to welcoming visitors to the Isle of Mull to share this creative and mindful experience together.
