I live and paint Scottish landscapes on a stunning Isle of Mull. My dream is to see and paint other Scottish Islands also. Last year I hired a bike and a buggy for my tent. Cycled from Barra to North Uist in September, stayed and painted from a tent.

This August 4th - 14th planning to see and paint en plein air on Lewis and Harris.

It’s a little further so after packing my painting gear, I’m going by car.

My intention is to connect with the landscape and my inner self, sketch and jot ideas.

Art is a way of living for me. Through painting I would like to help keep the Church buildings open on the Isle of Mull. Cause close to my heart.

Percentage of sales from the artwork I’ll produce after my visit to the Outer Hebrides, will be donated to this cause

I am particularly keen to help raise funds to help keep the Torosay Church building open in Craignure. It is owned by the Church of Scotland who currently hold worship each week. Others also use it for worship including a Roman Catholic congregation, and pilgrims heading to Iona. More people need to get active in caring for and using the building whether for worship or other activities.

If you have ideas for an event or meeting you would like to hold in this or other North Mull church buildings please contact Rev Liz Gibson egibson@churchofscotland.org.uk

It was lovely to have such supportive and enthusiastic Community around at the event and during the organisation.

Jennifer, Priscilla, Morar, Alan and myself would like to say a huge THANK YOU for your support in coming along or sharing about
the event. It means a lot and matters hugely in regards to the future generations and broader Community of Mull.

We all enjoyed fun, laughter, even tears ( happy memories ). We've enjoyed organising the event and chatting to people.
It's truly uplifting to see and hear all the positive comments.

Our exhibition has proved to be hugely successful and motivating to take further actions. We had 110 people coming along.
We're hoping that more people will come forward and help out in different ways, such as looking after the building,
and organising different events and workshops. There's clearly an interest and purpose for this place in addition to worship.

That's the feedback we've received from visitor's and residents alike. Craignure is one of the main locations, representing a broader
picture of Mull to the incoming visitors also.

A couple of the lovely comments from the visitor book : " Great exhibition. Very varied. Well done.
A lot of care taken, lovely to see" F.C. Edinburgh

"Beautiful exhibition, a variety of artwork in a lovely space. Stunning artworks. M.MacL.
