Do Something For The Greater Good

I should introduce here my husband and amazing artist Ronnie who is a great support to me. Together we run The Picture Gallery situated on the Main Street in Tobermory in one of the “Balamory” buildings (blue colour one). As The Picture Gallery we wanted to help the Community to raised funds for the Covid19 Emergency Fund. Say thank You to the nurses, health and social care key workers.

We organised a draw for un original Isle of Mull painting titled “Sunbeams Loch na Keal” and two single fine art giclee prints out of a limited edition of 75. To take part you had to donate any amount to the Crowdfunder page and enter a draw to win.

After a great nerve-racking promotion ( I’ve filmed myself speaking and posted it onto the “Mull: Help and Information” Facebook page) an amazing amount of £500 was raised, £150 over the target. We are so pleased to be able to help and saying huge THANK YOU to all who donated or shared about it!

Some of the comments we have received has made our days :

“I can’t believe it, I never win anything…I am so happy” and the painting is beautiful and the place means so much to me as I spent most of my childhood there”from Laura who won the painting.

The winners can enjoy having it on the wall and escape to the Loch na Keal any time now.
